People need to understand that old people have their own slang.
Just like how today we have weird words that describe certain objects or events, back in the 50’s and 60’s the terminology was way different.

WAKANDA FOREVER
Awh man, I just realized that the weekend is almost here and that every black person that I’m going to run into from now on is going to talk about Blank Panther while beating crossed arms across their chest.
I just had that interaction with this black dude in the vape store who hooked me up with a deal since it’s black history month haha. After the transaction was made he stepped from behind the counter with my bag, gave me a nigga handshake and said “I’m looking out since it’s black history month!” Haha
As I walked away I told him Wakanda forever and that’s when it all came out. The crossed arms against his chest, the chanting, and “Have you seen the movie?” For those who don’t know, I’m not much of a movie guy and when people ask if I’m going to see a particular motion picture I typically tell them yes.
I never do though.
Black Panther is a movie I do want to see but damn, the OVER hype is too real.

BLANK PANTHER GOT BLACK FOLK WILDN’
Black folk out here wildn’ because of this movie. I ain’t never seen black folk ban together like this since the million man march back in 95. I was still a baby haha. All Def Digital made a video entailing just how influential this movie has become to our generation.
HEY GOOGLE, MAKE ALLO YOUR MAIN MESSENGER!
I really love Google. My Pixel phone has been great for a good year and a half and I’m really looking forward to the Pixel 3. Google has a badass hardware line and it’s only getting better as we progress forward.
One thing that has been bothering me for quite some time is Google’s messaging apps. They have Hangouts, Android Messages, and Google Allo. Out of the 3 Google Allo seems very promising but after reading about how Allo fell from the top 500 apps list in their very own Play Store, it made me question what in the hell Google is doing.
Google Allo in my opinion is the better of the apps with its smart AI features and elegant design. Just like Apples messenger you can message people from your computer (even though is browser based) and has all the fun filled emojis, stickers, gifs, and smart reply features. What’s really confusing is that Google has implemented these same features in their Android Messages app which makes no sense at all. Why not just take Android Messages out of the picture and make Allo the main texting app on the Pixel phone?
If Google wants to be a fierce competitor to Apple, they need to make Allo the main app of which users communicate through instead of bombarding us with several different messaging apps. Facebook messenger and Whatsapp pretty much have that area on lock. I just really want to have that cool as experience that I had with iPhone but on my Pixel but Google can’t make their minds up.

Heine Bros Radio
There have been 3 different times this year at Heine Bros where they have played one of my favorite songs over the speakers in the shop.
The first was The Way You Make Me Feel by Michael Jackson. The second was Lava Lamp by Thundercat. The third is the one currently playing which is Hey Joe by Jimi Hendrix.
It just makes me happy when I can sit down and not have to pop in headphone to set the tone right. These new baristas got good taste in music. If I worked in here it would be lit as fuck. Depending on what shift I would be on would depict what album or station I would be on. The day of the week also is a benefactor as well.
A day like today would be good for some Lo-Fi tunes. Tomorrow (Wed.) is totally Thundercat, although I would play him in the evenings. Thursday is like a mixture of whatever and Friday I would have to settle with some Big K.R.I.T. My weekends would consist of a lot of Ab-Soul and Black Hippy shit with SiR’s November Album jumping in here and there.
I do have to keep in mind that whatever I play has to be edited… Unless I’m closing up haha. But that’s just an idea for a job that I don’t have. If I were to become a Barista at Heine Bros I would like to be the manager of the Aux Cord. 😁

I NEED LOUISVILLE HIP HOP SHOWS
Lately I’ve been reaching out to local promoters via facebook so I can book show. My efforts have gotten me nowhere. Instead of messaging local promoters and venues, I’m just going to show the fuck up to their door and request a gig. This city sets up events for all sorts of aspiring artist and I’m finding it hard to get a show going.
Either A. I’m not trying hard enough or B. They really don’t wanna fuck with me.
Regardless, I have to get my voice heard because I made the realization that failure cannot be a real option. I don’t consider it real because everyone listens to music. If every human damn near listens to music, then my chances of success are greater than my doubts.
As a side note, shout out to homie with the blond hair at Heine Bros for hooking me up with a cup of coffee. I checked my bank account earlier and noticed I spent almost $60 on coffee last month. I’m not sure if this is an addiction of mine or if it’s because I really like this one chick who works behind the counter. Anywho, kudos to the homie.
Besides the free coffee, I want to do 50 performances this year throughout the Louisville Area. If anyone would like to help please let me know.

Matt Bevins is stupid. I highly doubt that violent video games are the result of the mass shootings at schools. Also weed is not the reason for the opioid crisis here in KY, it’s Big Pharma who prescribes these drugs to patients in pain. What happens to them? They get addicted and BOOM… druggies are born.

This Doesn’t Feel Deserving at All
I hate taking my break early. I work at part time job where we are guaranteed 3 hours but of course we work more. In my opinion, breaks should be optional.
See before I was taking my break towards the end of the night where I felt like I really needed it. Now our supervisor feels the need to enforce this new rule of taking breaks earlier in the night because we get done “quicker.” Sounds like bullshit to me but whatever.
All I’m saying is, I would really like to take a break more so towards the end of the night instead of 2 and a half hours in. The break doesn’t feel deserving at all. Feels like I’m just bullshitting for 10 minutes and then I come back to play with boxes more.
I can’t wait for the night to be over. 😑

Pizza Thoughts
I’ve been on this pizza hut binge lately. For some reason when I think of Pizza I think of Pizza Hut and how I really enjoy their stuffed crust. Not to mention that I get this strange nostalgic feeling when I’m inside sitting down waiting for my order.
The only issue I have is how dirty the carpet is here but it looks like a bunch of construction workers just got off and didn’t brush their boots off. They say cleanliness is friendliness but shit, if yo pizza wasn’t picked up off the floor is it still a good American pizza?

Its presidents day and everybody is bashing Trump.
I really like it; Taking a day where we are to celebrate our historical presidential lineage just to tell Trump that he’s an ass wipe. You got damn right Trump, today we are reflecting on how your inconsiderate, bald headed, just got a tan at 7am looking ass needs to get out of office. I can say all of this because I voted.
With the new release of Black Panther, it has me wondering where the hell all of these niggas were at when we had a chance to not vote in a racist son of a bitch. This is what we have to deal with and I will continue to talk about how much I hate trump due to his cry baby antics, misleading the public, and being totally aware all of this is happening but not giving a shit.
What makes things so fucked is that if Obama were caught up in a cheating scandal, had several divorces, and was in collision with the Russians, WHITE America would’ve had him thrown out before they could take him to court. This racial divide we have here in the States is troubling and for our kids that are growing up having to live through all of this makes no sense.
This is how we continue reliving the past in the future. We need better leaders and a more educated populous. But good leaders come from an educated populace so let’s focus on that first instead of Matt Bevins forcing schools to have Bible study. America has literally become the most laughable country in the world. Why should I be so proud to be American but as the same time be so oppressed?
