  • Why You Have To Make Him Sweat It Out In The Friend Zone First (bish wut?)

    Okay now its my turn.

    I read this article all the way through and thought to myself, “Hey, the friend zone isn’t all what its made out to be.” I’ve never been friend zoned but the main point of this article is not about the friend zone. Its about building a standing relationship with someone.

    Now the only problem that I had while reading this is that “We” the men are supposed to go out of are way and work our asses off to get to know the female. Yes this is true but the relationship will not work unless the opposite sex is doing the same too. So if I’m trying to figure out what kind of Chinese Food she likes, she needs to be learning whether or not I want the Soy Sauce on my rice or egg rolls.

    Last but not least, I don’t like the name “Friend Zone.” I feel like females have turned that name into something guys don’t want to hear. I mean hell, when I see the friend zone I see the opposite of what exactly is supposed to happen. I see the female talking to every guy leading a bunch on and all this other nonsense. I think we should change the name to “We are Friends Right Now” or something.

  • Hello World! (Blogging 101)

    So I was supposed to do this two days ago but for some reason the blogging 101 emails are going to another folder in my gmail. I found them so now its time to catch up! lol

    Well folks, Hello!

    My name is Jamil and I world like to welcome you to exploding rock. I’ve been blogging since 2010 and I love it. I have a long archive of weird stuff I have said over the years for you to look over if you wish. If you are a new or old reader, you will see that I talk about lots of things. I can’t just try to dumb it down to one thing because there is so much in the world I am interested in.

    You will find everything from personal blogpost, funny videos I have found on the internet, skateboarding news, a little tech news, some poetry, and anything else I like in life. The reason why I choose to publicly blog about whats going on with me is becasue there are many other people in the world that can relate to my problems. I remember a few years ago I had some depressing post on my blog from when I got out of a bad break up. Someone that actually went through the same stuff came through on my comments making sure I was okay and shot me over some advice. He was a stranger, someone I have never met before, but he wanted to help.

    This blog has shown me a lot over the years. Blogging has helped me become a better writer, although I have mess ups here and there. Writing on here has also gave me the confidence to to go out and find writing gigs. Not only do I write here but I write for a tech site called Android Headlines. Thanks to wordpress and the little home on the internet that they gave me, I can express how I feel and voice my opinions with other people who can relate and have some words to share.

    It never was about the money, the hits, or anything else blogging can offer. All I wanted to do when I started was create a website with rich content for people to enjoy. I’m always hit and miss on here but hey, who said I was perfect?

  • Philosophical Skateboarding

    This is me hitting a back crook on this metal box my buddy used to have.

    When it comes to skateboarding I love the sport. It gives me the freedom and space I need to roll around in a concrete jungle. Its always a pleasure to meet other skaters and build connections. One thing that I always questions is when the younger kids. Theres a little boy across the street from me who just got a skateboard for Christmas. As he rolled back and forth on his front porch I wondered, “How good will he get? Will he turn pro?” I always ask that becasue during my journey on a skateboard I have watched people who could barely ride a board, shred the bowls better than me at the skatepark.

    Its always a fascinating thought when it crosses my mind. I get engulfed in the future and what it has in store for skaters all around. I wonder if other people think the same thing too?

  • Koko The Gorilla is The Voice of Nature

    You know Koko the Gorilla right? She’s the Gorilla that was taught to speak sign language. Well now she’s in a YouTube video talking to us as a whole about Nature. This is a very powerful message becasue we have what is considered to be an animal, talking to humans about what SHE believes is right.

    Going a bit of track here, one thing that we need to realize is that animals have conscious minds too. They think, feel emotion, and can reason. If this video doesn’t compel you to think about your environment then I don’t know what will.

    Take it from the voice of nature, she knows what is right.

    By now I know this is old news but Nyjah Houston of course rides for Nikesb. He’s one of the many pros that left their shoe company for that good ol’ nike money. You can think of this man as a traitor but Guy Mariano followed the same route late last year when he up and left all of his sponsors. I want to know how much Nike is paying these dudes, they need to let me on the team! I wanted to make this post so we could all gather around and take a look at that sick ass 5-0 he does down that monstrous rail!

    Facebook is my home to funny videos, status’s full of bullshit, and stuff like what I found above. I always tell myself I’m going to get rid of facebook but when I come across a funny video like this I shake the thought aside and keep scrolling down for my luls.
