I NEED LOUISVILLE HIP HOP SHOWS

Lately I’ve been reaching out to local promoters via facebook so I can book show. My efforts have gotten me nowhere. Instead of messaging local promoters and venues, I’m just going to show the fuck up to their door and request a gig. This city sets up events for all sorts of aspiring artist and I’m finding it hard to get a show going.

Either A. I’m not trying hard enough or B. They really don’t wanna fuck with me.

Regardless, I have to get my voice heard because I made the realization that failure cannot be a real option. I don’t consider it real because everyone listens to music. If every human damn near listens to music, then my chances of success are greater than my doubts.

As a side note, shout out to homie with the blond hair at Heine Bros for hooking me up with a cup of coffee. I checked my bank account earlier and noticed I spent almost $60 on coffee last month. I’m not sure if this is an addiction of mine or if it’s because I really like this one chick who works behind the counter. Anywho, kudos to the homie.

Besides the free coffee, I want to do 50 performances this year throughout the Louisville Area. If anyone would like to help please let me know.

NEW MUSIC ALERT!

This past weekend, specifically on Valentine’s Day I dropped an EP entitled, “Greatest Works of Art, Come From a Broken Heart.” It’s actually a quote that I came up with one day and as many of us know, the statement is surprisingly true. Just give it a listen and tell me what you think.

ps. That broken skateboard thats in fire on the cover art was the board my ex gave me. I wonder if she noticed that when I sent her the track? Who knows, I’m just happen I made some good music.

The Beginning of the End

Well its official, I am now a High school graduate of Southern High School. The class of 2012 is the 61’st class to graduate under our new principle Mr. Hibbert. Its been a long 4 years…but a long 12, 13 if ya’ throw in head start. It feels like I have been in school forever. Basically my whole life, but now…now I’m a free man about to do my thing in life.

I still remember the first day of school when my dad walked me in and showed me to the teachers. I started to cry when he walked away. I still remember the first day of middle school, my neighbor “Yari” and I walked in and approached our asshole of a math teacher asking if this is the right team. I also still remember the first day of high school, my homie Dakotah and I rolled up in Southern amazed by all of the other students trying to make our way through the crowded halls. It feels like this all happened yesterday but now look at me, all grown and out of school.

I’m still stunned that I even got to this point just for the simple fact that I cruised my whole senior year just sitting in class writing random crap and get good grades. I had a slight feeling I wasn’t gonna make it but I pulled through last minute and got my sh*t together. Now here I am with a diploma with my name on it and a cap and gown hanging up in my room. What a wonderful feeling that is.

Now that I am done with my free education, its time to move on up to my post secondary education and get my move on in life. I’m still going to skate, draw, and do all the other crap I enjoy doing in life and hope for the best.

To end this post I would like to quote a favorite hip-hop artist of mine.

“They say that life is what you make it, so what you been creating on yo’ free time” – Big K.R.I.T.

This ends my May Post…Check out what I got going on in the next few weeks. I’m gonna get a “Real World” series going. Holla!

PS. Shout out the Class of 2012!

No Mercy

So For the past 3 days I’ve been shacking the walls of my room playing T.I.’s new album “No Mercy” his seventh studio album. I’ve been waiting all year for it to come out and its finally here. At first it was going to be called “King Uncaged” but then he got pulled over, cops found weed and he got locked up, yadda yadda yadda. I’m tired of explaining what he did because my friend don’t ever stay informed. I think its just cus I’m a big T.I. Fan. But the The new album is awesome! My favorite song so far is “How Life Changed” I love the hook. He has some great songs on this album like “Poppin Bottles and Castle Walls” I be blasting it all night!!! Its crazy.

There is one thing that I am mad about though. So today I go on iTunes and see that “No Mercy” is the first album on the list of albums, I’m guessing its number one. So I go to it and I’m looking through the tracks, this is the deluxe edition which I got. I’m looking at it and I see all these extra songs like “I’m back and Yeah Ya Know“. The I saw my favorite song that was leaked out a few months before the album came out and thats “Pledge Allegiance To The Swag“. I got mad because I got the deluxe CD and I don’t got all them songs that they got. I just simply said that I was gonna go out and just get another CD, (LOL) But I don’t know. Maybe because its on iTunes. Now I hate iTunes. WTF! This is stupid, why couldn’t they just put the same songs on all of the CD’s and call it a day. It really don’t matter now, I’m hoping that he puts it on a mixtape. Over her talking about he ain’t gonna come out with anymore mixtapes, you know he lyin. He’s gonna come out with another mixtape. No Worries, but if you have not heard “No Mercy” then you need to go get the CD.
