World Domination

Tell us about the experience of being outside, looking in — however you’d like to interpret that.

The inner circle to most people sounds like a secret organization that is with-holding information on world domination. To me, its just a group of people who have gained a certain popular status among peers in a social setting creating the illusion of the “cool” kids.

Being that person that is outside of it all makes most feel left out. I never felt like that way, I was that guy who wanted to sneak in and destroy the reputation and image created by the inner circle groups and taunt people with my conspicuous actions. As bad as that sounds I never got around to it, I made my owner inner circle of odd people and went on about my day.

I’m always the guy that is outside looking in. I mean what the fuck do I need to go inside for when this gives me the opportunity to criticize, stereotype or just let me create my own explanation of why these people choose to stay inside of a circle of oppression.

I understand that I am getting a little too deep but I want people to really think so they can have a different mind set on life. I did the thinking at some point and I am extraordinarily happy that I did. We shouldn’t have to be standing outside looking in. We need to be looking around.

Why must the world be split and contained in small little sectors full of morons with the power to control people? Why must happiness and fulfillment be on the other side of a locked door? Why do we get treated like donkeys with a fucking key in front of our faces as we walk through life aimlessly trying to grab it?

Do you see what SOCIETY HAS DONE!

Absolute Knowledge

What does “happiness” look like to you?

Happiness to me takes many shapes and forms. It comes to me through my skateboard, my art, my poems, raps and my personality. Happiness can take any form and look any way you want it. Its different for everyone. That’s what makes happiness so amazing.

The goal for every human being is to find happiness. Happiness is found in the most oddest places as well. For example, that drunk homeless man you see probably finds happiness inside of a bottle. That rich billionaire probably finds happiness within all of the money he has. One thing that people have to realize is that happiness comes and goes. We seek it but can only hold on to it for so long. Once its gone than we are in search for more of it because we miss the happiness we once held in the palm of our hands.

From a philosophical stand point, I see TRUE Happiness as attaining absolute knowledge. For as long we are here on this earth we will never be able to attain absolute knowledge. We will have to pass on and let our soul be free from this hurtful world to reach that goal.

Over all, happiness to me has no form. I may have said that it takes many shapes or forms but the true reality of what happiness looks like comes from within and from around.

Changes

You need to make a major change in your life. Do you make it all at once, cold turkey style, or incrementally?

At this stage in my life I need to make a major change but procrastination has hit me hard and has not let me do anything. My lack of responsibility is hurting me and the only way I can get out of this comfort zone I’m in is to just go forward and do it. They way I’m taking on this this major change is in small increments. I should really just do it all at once and force myself to do it but the way my head is programmed right now I just can’t do it. Its really hard to get changed in my life, if someone close passed away I would be stricken and would be in a depression for quite sometime. If I work hard now and try to over come procrastination and my lack of change than things that come in life wouldn’t effect me in a terrible way.

Right now in the position that I am in, the major change that I need to do is get my school stuff figured out so I can go back to school. I failed 2 classes and I’m on financial hold until I can fix my fafsa and some other stuff. At first I was like oh crap, let me get this stuff out of the way, but now I’m just slacking and sitting on my ass doing nothing but blogging about life adventures. It sucks bad, i really need to get up and do something…

(I’m going to stop here because writing about major change that I need to do right now is not helping. I need to get up, get out and do something)

Comfy Corner

A genie has granted your wish to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?

So as I was walking down to the bad luck spot and dreading the fact that I was about to skate there, A genie popped out form behind the bushes by Subway and said “Hey! Its your lucky day! You have 3 wishes and I will grant them all today or spread out across your life” So in response I told her that I would like to use one today. She said “Well perfect! What shall your wish be?” I thought for a moment then said, “I want my own reading/book corner inside of a modern apt building in the highlands”. And with that we disappeared in a poof of smoke and ended up in the highlands in front of my new apt.

I opened the door and the first thing that was in front of me was a set of double doors that looked like they would be a closet. I slowly walked up to it and slightly opened the two doors peaking inside. I saw stairs that below the apt, so I swung the doors all the way open and briskly walked down stairs and entered to what appeared to be a library with a luxurious office desk. The walls were book shelves full of books. It looked as if I was in a library that you would see off the movies that are really big with the smart looking books on them….yeah SMART LOOKING. The carpet was a dark red and the desk was the color of red oak. On the desk was a brand new iMac and a few notebooks laying there with a quill placed on top. The chair was black and has a curve to the back of it. Behind the desk and chair was a huge LED flat screen shaped as a window. It gave a view of the front of the apt and would occasionally switch to the back.

The ceiling was decorated with quotes from famous authors. To add to all the amazing stuff found, there was a secret door that was  behind one of the book shelves. You had to pull a book and the whole door would open revealing a spacious entertainment room and stairs that led back up to the rest of the apt. When I stepped back into the big library, I saw a sign above the door I came out of saying Comfy Corner.

If that really happened I would be pissin’ EVERYWHERE in excitement.

War at Home

“Think global, act local.” Write a post connecting a global issue to a personal one.

War

The first thing you may think about when you hear the word war is maybe WWII or the recent one, the War on Terrorism. Is war really the answer to solving problems everywhere? I mean across the globe right now people are at war. The Mafia is at war, the Bloods and the Crips are at war. I mean, there is just violence everywhere!

This global issue which is relevant, is widely known to Americans as just an over seas conflict when in reality its here in our cities and neighborhoods. Gang violence is the cause of 10,000 American deaths each year and the numbers keep rising. In an ABC documentary  a total number of 410 people were killed in the streets of Chicago. That’s a large number in just one month.

Gang violence is everywhere and the youth are the ones that are dragged into this life style by huge influences from off the streets they were raised on to even their favorite rapper. Gang violence is not heard about to much on the nations news, mostly through TV shows or documentaries. The fact that people kill one another for no complete reason is wrong.

In the black community gang members will kill you over anything like a simple facebook post directed towards someone, or even just looking there way. I’ve grown up in a bad neighborhood and still reside there till this day. Its hard trying to succeed when the neighborhood is trying to hold you back and stop you in any way. With hard work and dedication it is possible to get out of the loop hole of violence and be something.

The only real way to slow gang violence down is to educate these kids in this dangerous communities and show them that is there is more to life than pulling a glock out and ending someones life.

This local issue is a problem and should receive more attention than it does now.

Stop the Violence.

The Flangiprop

Invent a definition for the word “flangiprop,” then use the word in a post.

Daily Prompt

flang-i-prop [Pronounced flang-ee-prop]

noun

1. 8×9 Metal box used for 3D printing

2. Device used for mass production of commonly used material

3. Description of final product produced from 3D printing

We have come a long way from the “factory”. No longer do we have to wait for new clothes to come out or to buy a new coffee cup when the handle on our old one broke. We can now CREATE our own everyday items.

To most people this thought may be amusing but to people who wish to make there very own products right at home for the cost of a loaf a bread, its amazing!

Just think, inside that inside there are razor-thin layers of powdered material (acrylic, nylon, ABS, etc) pile one on top of the other, and then, BOOM! — you’ve got a shoe, or a coffee mug, or a shirt, or even an iPhone case.

The device I would like to introduce is the Flangiprop, an 8×9 machine that will do wonders for people who want to cut their time at the convenience store and save tons of money. The Flangiprop uses digital technology and common materials like ABS plastic, which is what LEGO is made out of, or you can use PLA, which is the plastic that’s made from corn. Other materials used are cotton and linen, for if you plan to make shirts and sweaters.

To get started with making something you insert the plastic or fabric in the machine and draw up a design on the multi-touch screen. There are already pre-made designs for you to use so all you will have to do is just make a few edits and renditions to it like adding your own logo and such. The machine also allows you to upload any drawings that you have made and the machine will render them so they can be of perfect shape and form so they can be created. Once your idea is drawn out on the screen all you have to do is press the print button and in 20 minutes tops you coffee mug, T-shirt or spoon is now created.

The greatest thing about the Flangiprop is that you don’t need no huge factory, or is it a huge machine that takes up ton of space. All you need is about $3,000 and a garage to store the machine and your materials in. Its really that simple and the cheapest thing on the market.

The Flangiprop starts at $2199.00 and goes up to $2799.00 depending on what model you want. Payment plans are available.

Burnt Out

Well the other day my house was on fire and I had to retrieve 5 items that  I would take. In the process of thinking about what I would have taken with me there was nothing that I would have gotten. Therefore there is nothing that I chose. But being that this is a different prompt I may as well choose some of my valuable items that I would get if it were really up to god to keep me alive in the process of doing so.

Things that I wish that I could have taken from the house fire would be all of my drawings. I have an ample amount of drawings that I have stored in a drawer. A lot of those drawings have meaning to them and were drawn for a reason so each one of them are very special to me and would be devastating if they were lost in a house fire.

Something else that I would grab from the fire is a pipe that my dad and his friend found when they were younger. It really doesn’t have meaning to me but its kind of like a gift from the past and it has a story behind it of how they acquired the pipe. Its a really nice pipe made of metal and wood. They was smoking weed from it. haha!

My last and very LAST thing that I wish I would have wanted to save is this plastic yellow bird that I got when I was in elementary school. I’m not too sure on how I got it but I do remember that I was in Head Start when it was given to me by a teacher? You might ask your self whats so special about the bird, well it was made to balance in its beak. So you can put the bird in the edged of a table or on top of a short people that is flat on top and it will balance. Its really cool and have it balancing on the corner of my computer tower right now.

Those are all the things I would have wished I saved in the house fire. But like I said the other day that If there is a fire than it was just meant to be because everything in life happens for a reason.

House on Fire

If my house was really on fire and my family was safe there really wouldn’t be anything for me to retrieve from the burning flames. I mean I could go in and take my only precious valuable that I’ve had since the age of 4, and that’s  just a stuffed animal that I’ve kept over the years. Anything else would just have to go.

I mean for example, Jeff Hardy from WWE, his house caught on fire and he lost everything that he had and has had to start all over again. If your house catches on fire, then it must have been meant to be because once there is flames all over then its practically over. Now I can see if I was in the house which is what this prompt is referring too than I would just be like screw it and save myself because trying to save an item would make me materialistic.

Where I’m trying to get to now is that if you were to try and save 5 items from a house fire than you are a complete idiot for the simple fact that you have to hold all of that stuff and try to dodge falling embers and flames while trying to save your self and 5 man made items.

So what advice would I give you? Don’t be materialistic.

On the inside Looking out

As I look out the window and survey my street I see the memories I made growing up as a child in Newburg. The block, Aral Drive, holds hundreds, if not thousands of memories that I created with friends that come and go. Its like a movie going on that only I can see. My friends and I throwing paper airplanes, playing hide and go seek, the police arresting a bunch of thugs and, the most vivid one I can remember, the scene where a girl was ran over and killed on the corner of Aral and Lagoona. I remember it all…

When I look out the window my memories come to life. To the ordinary eye you will see the small brick houses and the cracked roads and along with everything the little kids who roam the streets causing trouble. Through my eyes I can see the my gang causing havoc to the neighbors by hopping fences and ringing doorbells, running before someone opens the door.

Unlike any other ghetto neighborhood its not run down and looks fairly nice with the blooming flowers and big trees that look very beautiful during the summer time. Right now during winter my neighborhood looks cold and gloomy, but brings back good memories that I made during the winter with good friends I had as a kid. As life is, things come and go and nothing last forever and now here I am on the Inside Looking Out.

Ode to Love Park

Every since I started skateboarding you have been the dream location I have wished to skate. My role models, Stevie Williams and Josh Kalis landed the most spectacular tricks and threw down the greatest lines that I can still envision till this day. When the city of Philadelphia officially banned skaters from skating you I was saddened and my dreams of going to Philly were crushed.

Your multiple ledges, smooth and black were mesmerizing and beautiful. LOVE hosted dozens who were content merely to skate you. Just the scene was enough for me to hop out of my seat and travel there so I can be apart of the big city and the lights that surrounded you. There really isn’t much for me to say, but in times of death people go astray, but the ones who stayed to fight for your stay still have the great memories of skating you everyday.

RIP Love Park
